WHOIS Inquiry
Domain expiry checking is done through WHOIS. Job extracts the TLD from the hostname, connects to the supported WHOIS server and tries to parse the expiry date from different WHOIS formats.
If the query fails, domain_status may be failed or unknown. For unsupported TLDs, status is marked as unsupported_tld.
Control Frequency
Domain control is independent of uptime probe; it runs automatically at 04:00 every day for paid plans.
Warning Thresholds
| Remaining day | Behavior |
|---|---|
| 30 | The first early warning is sent. |
| 7 | The critical alert level rises. |
| 1 | The last daily alert is sent. |
| 0 | A separate email is sent as domain expired. |
Supported TLDs
Not all TLDs are supported. List of supported TLDs: .com, .net, .org, .info, .io, .dev, .app, .co and .me.
For extensions other than these, domain_status is unsupported_tld and expiry date cannot be generated. For record operators with limited WHOIS access or special format, the parse result may return unknown.
